About Us

The Spanish Association of Metal Fastener Manufacturers (ASEFI) is a non-profit organization founded in 1995 with the mission of bringing together the interests of companies within the metal fastener industry, coordinating joint actions, representing its members before public administrations and other organizations and institutions, and serving as a link between the Spanish industry and its European counterparts.

ASEFI provides its member companies with a platform for participation, collaboration, and access to valuable industry information. It also serves as an effective vehicle for coordinated action at both national and European levels, promoting and defending the common interests of its members. This role is particularly important for a Spanish industry largely composed of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Last but not least, ASEFI connects Spanish metal fastener manufacturers with the wider European industry through its active participation in EIFI (European Industrial Fasteners Institute), the organization that brings together the national fastener associations of the main European Union countries and represents many of the leading companies in the sector.

Among ASEFI’s founding objectives are promoting compliance with professional ethics throughout the industry, encouraging the development of standards and legislation that foster innovation and research, acting as a mediator in disputes that may arise between companies in the sector, and supporting initiatives that contribute to the sustainable growth of the industry.

ASEFI is both a forum for information exchange and industry participation, and a highly effective platform for coordinated action. By working together, its members strengthen their ability to address common challenges, seize new opportunities, and contribute to the competitiveness of the Spanish fastener industry in Europe and beyond.
